Theatre translation & interpreting

I specialise in interpreting during rehearsals,

translating theatrical texts and surtitling.

Multilingual Performances

Translation

I provide translations of theatrical texts to be performed live on stage with a focus on contemporary language. Most recently I translated 600HIGHWAYMEN’s A THOUSAND WAYS into French and German.

Interpreting and Surtitling

I offer simultaneous and consecutive interpreting during live shows, most recently for BEST REGARDS and previously for Berlin-based performance collective SHE SHE POP, Boys* in Sync’s SECOND SEASON and Laetita Dosch’s HATE.

I’ve also been working for the leading surtitling agency PANTHEA for several years, who provide captions and surtitles in many languages.

Multilingual Communication

Rehearsal Interpreting

As a former production manager for dance and theatre productions and a qualified interpreter, I have the theatre expertise and communication skills required for the sensitive nature of rehearsals. In the past I have worked with Anne-Cécile Vandalem, Simon McBurney and Sanja Mitrović among others.

Interpreting Q&As

I am familiar with the creative processes and logistics of performing arts as well as its jargon and will provide an accurate interpretation of what is being discussed.
