Interpreting
My working languages are English, French and German. I offer simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, for in person and remote events.
Different types of interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting: the interpreter speaks at the same time as the speaker. It requires some technical equipment and I can advise you on what you might need to rent depending on your requirements.
Consecutive interpreting: the interpreter translates after the speaker has finished. This is recommended for smaller settings such as conversations or negotiations.
Remote or in person? Both modes of interpreting are possible online and in person. Experience shows that having an interpreter present in person can ensure a smoother communication process.
My profile
I have a master’s degree in Conference Interpreting and Translation at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and grew up in France and in Germany. I’ve been working as an interpreter since 2014 and am based primarily in Berlin.
My areas of expertise include:
culture (literature, theatre, dance, film)
social work and youth work
international cooperation
politics
agriculture & environmental affairs
law and business
Pricing
Interpreters prepare for each assignment by researching the topic in both languages in order to get a good grasp of current debates, studying the preparation material provided and learning the required vocabulary.
My rates include consultation on the best solution for your event, my preparation, any travel time, and all the work I put in throughout the year which enables me to be at my best for your event (continuous training, regular practice and maintaining my language skills).
Every event is different, I am therefore happy to send you an estimate tailored to your needs.
